Within 30 km of Chalupa Domovina, you will find diverse experiences—from the natural beauty of Bohemian Switzerland (České Švýcarsko), through historical monuments, to entertainment and sports activities. Ski Resort Horní Podluží

Ski Resort Horní Podluží is a modern ski area located in the České Švýcarsko (Bohemian Switzerland) region, featuring three groomed ski slopes with a length of approximately 650 m. It is especially suitable for families with children and beginners. The resort offers a children’s park with gates and slalom poles, a snowpark with obstacles for snowboarders, ski rental and service facilities, as well as a restaurant with refreshments directly at the slopes. Parking is available right next to the lift stations, and the resort is easily accessible from the main road between Rybniště and Jiřetín pod Jedlovou.

Lužická Magistrála (Lausitz Trail)

The Lužická Magistrála is the main long-distance hiking and cross-country skiing trail in the Lužické hory (Lusatian Mountains). It runs through forests, meadows, and pastures from Prácheň near Kamenický Šenov to Myslivny below Mount Luž. The trail connects numerous routes around villages such as Polevsko, Prysk, Nový Bor, Cvikov, and Jiřetín pod Jedlovou, making it ideal for hiking and winter sports in nature. Thanks to the network of marked trails, the magistrála also serves as an access route to important peaks of the Lužické hory, including Mountain Jedlová with its lookout tower — the third-highest peak in the range, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. In Jiřetín, you can join the cross-country skiing trail near Křížová hora.

Křížová hora

Křížová hora is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Jiřetín pod Jedlovou and also a beautiful viewpoint with a unique atmosphere. This Baroque Stations of the Cross (or Calvary) was founded in the 18th century and leads to the top of the hill, where the Chapel of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross has stood since 1765. The route consists of fourteen stations that line the forest path and gradually lead you to the summit with the chapel and observation terrace. From Křížová hora, a beautiful view opens up to the town of Jiřetín pod Jedlovou, the Lusatian Mountains, and the nearby Tolštejn Castle.

Adrenalin Park Jedlová

Adrenalin Park Jedlová offers a wide range of activities for all age groups. In the summer, you can try out the rope park (high ropes course), the climbing wall, the giant swing + step into the void (drop), or rent scooters here. In the winter, the complex is an ideal starting point for cross-country ski trails.

Údolí Milířky Nature Trail

The Údolí Milířky Nature Trail guides visitors through the history of mining in the region. Its 4.5 km long circuit includes 6 former adits (tunnels), 4 shafts, and one quarry. The route is divided into 7 stations where you can learn interesting facts about mining activities in this area. The best access to the nature trail is via marked tourist paths from Dolní Podluží or from Jiřetín pod Jedlovou.

Tolštejn Castle Ruins

The ruins of Tolštejn Castle tower above the village of Jiřetín pod Jedlovou and are among the most picturesque historical monuments in the Lusatian Mountains. The castle was founded in the 14th century and served as a strategic fortress protecting trade routes and mining areas. Today, only romantic remnants of the walls and towers remain, lending the place a unique atmosphere. The area is known for its rich fauna and flora, romantic viewpoints, and historical monuments such as castles, lookout towers, and old mining trails. Jiřetín pod Jedlovou is located directly at the foot of the Lusatian Mountains, meaning the protected landscape area is practically ‘around the corner’—the entrance to the PLA (Protected Landscape Area) is only a few minutes’ walk or a short drive from the center of the village. Olbersdorf Outdoor Swimming Pool

The Olbersdorf outdoor swimming pool is a family-friendly summer pool featuring a 25 m swimming pool, a large 800 m² leisure pool, a separate children’s paddling pool, and a 72 m long water slide. The area offers spacious grassy areas for relaxation, two children’s playgrounds, sports facilities (volleyball, table tennis), and refreshments including a restaurant, café, and kiosk. The pool is solar- and district-heated and provides barrier-free access and facilities. Designated swimming times are available in the early morning and shortly before closing.

Lesenská Dam
